THE NEW SLAVE

As the new slave stands on the display podium, he presents an image of abject isolation. This is not surprising really for can there be a more lonely place anywhere in the world than the display platform and auction-block for a former freeman who is being sold as a slave for the first time. 

His mind is a confused tangle of raw emotion, confusion, uncertainty and fear of the future. 

He doesn’t even know in what part of the world he now finds himself. He only knows it’s hot and the buyers perusing his body consist solely of swarthy-complexioned men of Middle Eastern appearance and prosperous black men with strong African accents. Curiously, there are no white men among the buyers and his fellow slaves are all Caucasians . 

Is he in a slave-market somewhere in either Arabia or Africa?

Grabbed from the darkened streets of his home-town and transported to who knows where, he was stripped naked, body shaved and given a strange closely cropped haircut and placed on display. 

He stands impassive as strange hands roam at will over his naked body poking at his muscles, hefting his balls, stroking his cock to erection and prying apart his ass cheeks, Tears of shame sting his eyes as he is bent double while fingers excite his anus and probe his rectum. He offers no resistance when ordered to open his mouth so that the soundness and health of his teeth and tongue are assessed by those who wish to own him. He knows resistance is futile for a slave-handler is close by with his cruel cane ready to beat him into submission. 

He listens as two black men discuss his future potential as a slave and is appalled as a prosperous, older black man speaks glowingly of him as a pony running naked through the streets of Lagos.

The new slave wonders if this to be his future?
